The land of the stories
A map of the places and regions where the stories of the Bible happened, built to be used by people who love the book, not by scholars. It plots the commonly accepted modern locations of ancient sites, draws the rough old borders of the lands, and pins each place to the verses that mention it.
Two honest cautions. Ancient sites often have more than one proposed location, and identification is sometimes a guess; the atlas marks the traditional site and uses modern names where they are known. Some identifications are debated — the site of Mount Sinai, for instance, is a matter of long disagreement. And the coordinates are approximate; the map shows the country of a story, not a surveyor's point.
Everything here — the place data, the map, the questions and answers — is an invitation to open your Bible alongside it.
